Wild
life is considered a positive energy in Feng Shui. Think of ways that
you can bring wild life into your yard, onto your property, and outside
your windows. Examples are; installing a coi pond, bird bath, planting
plants that animals and insects like, and providing drinking water. In
Colorado, we are blessed with many species of wild birds, and of course,
squirrels, deer, foxes, coyotes, lizards, etc. Bears and mountain lions
also bring positive energy in terms of their strength, and nobility. All
insects serve a purpose, and all animal life keeps our ecosystems healthy.
Living in a balanced and thriving environment is an essential foundation
for our own health, and the well being of our homes and businesses.
A
Feng Shui consultant can help you determine which areas of your yard can
benefit from being energized by wildlife. For example, hanging a bird
feeder in a particular location will lift the chi for the area and what
that area symbolizes, as well as lifting the chi for an inside room that
it affects. However, the bird droppings around the feeder may also affect
that area. A hummingbird feeder brings beautiful birds into your yard;
however, the energy of the hierarchical fighting amongst the hummingbirds
will also be present.
Watching
wildlife in inherently calming. This pertains to house pets as well: dogs,
cats, fish, etc. Having pictures of wildlife can also bring this positive
energy into your home. This can also be done by using animal print fabrics,
leather, sheepskin, or wool. A Feng Shui consultant can help you decide
where to place these fabrics and make sure they are not too overpowering.
Some animals do have aggressive energy, and this must be taken into account
when bringing them into your home or business.
